Going Green with Graffiti

How cool is this?! I am absolutely in LOVE with this idea!

Idea from Apartment Therapy And Crafting A Green World

“….Unlike spray paint, moss graffiti is all natural and healthy to work with. You can paint words or images, and the moss fills in like magic! It’s easy as pie to whip up a batch of moss paint. Here’s how:

In your blender, combine:

  • One can of cheap beer or 1 1/2 cups buttermilk

  • A few handfuls of moss

  • One teaspoon of sugar.

Blend until the mixture is smooth, and you’re ready to get painting!

You can use a brush to paint your moss onto concrete walls, rocks, or brick. Mist the moss once a day to help it thrive, and soon your green graffiti will take hold! If you’re looking to take this project to the streets, use caution- we don’t want to be responsible for any vandalism charges!”

About Jenna Carey

Hey all. Welcome to my little blog. My name is Jenna. I’m a hairstylist, writer, and lover of life in the Orlando area. I created this blog because ...I feel like I’m going to simply explode! I work behind the chair 5 days a week. Early on I found that my job not only consisted of creating beautiful hair but playing therapist to a complex clientele. I absolutely love my job and my guests, but it’s become apparent that in order to maintain my sanity I need an outlet as well. My step-mother, D-la, once told me that men can just think their problems through, while women need to talk out their problems to find a solution. So, that’s what this blog is to me. A platform in which I can freely express my inner workings, get inspired, inspire, and create. It is also my intention to be completely real and maintain my authenticity in this blog. I’ve lived most of my life as a chameleon, morphing my personality to fit whoever I was with at the moment. It started off as a survival technique I learned while moving around so much as a kiddo, and I’ve unconsciously carried this learned behavior into adulthood. I am now realizing how detrimental suppressing my opinions and desires are to my soul’s growth. So I plan on sharing my life experiences and perspective with you in a way that is very authentically ‘Jenna.’ A Jenna very few people know. Disclaimer: My writing is often riddled with spelling errors, I know this. Please don’t waste your time commenting to let me know. You don’t need to prove how brilliant you are...which I’m sure you are :) Point is, Get readin’ or get goin’! Haha :)
